Death of Ezine Articles Soon ?

No one is saved from the effects of competition in the business world. So is true of Ezine Articles.

I believe huge competition has made EZA loosing its effectiveness by each passing day. That is not to say it will die soon but the process has already begun.

Why do I say this? There are two reasons:

    1) Cutthroat competition for same keywords and hundreds of authors publishing in the same place (EZA) will not get huge reads and consequently no huge conversions.

    2) The rise of numerous alternative media has also put EZA in difficulty to place its articles on top of search engines. Although its true many success stories are happening now. But its becoming very tough.

There are suspicions on EZA whether they have formed affiliations with strong networks and insiders are getting the real benefits and small authors are being neglected.

    What you guys feel ?

Ezine Article is still number one in major search engines. May be due to competition it is loosing it's search engine share but would regain it's position. But I accept the truth that small authors in EZA are being neglected.

The sheep will only follow a certain track for a period of time before moving on to another. ezine articles will be dead by next year i assume.

Well, ezine articles may be losing effectiveness because many if not the majority of the articles are fairly poor attempts at masking advertisement. I can't say whether or not they'll be dead, but I doubt it.

It's still the #1 article website, so for now, it's a safe bet. When the time comes, there are plenty of alternatives...

Since Ezine Articles only allows unique content we all know how much Google loves that. Dying off might take a while since it's a mighty force in the article marketing niche when you consider the amount of articles it receives every day.

I submitted an article rewrite one time and it got flagged right away (not realizing I accidentally submitted the original PLR article). Their strict rules are there for legit article writers who don't sway towards black hat strategies.:)

I would be very suprised if this site got bumped:eek:

Yet strangely, almost every article they accept from me, either on my own behalf or on behalf of the client for whom I'm writing/submitting, has previously been published on my own site or the client's site.

EZA have never required "unique content" and they don't require it now.

And several of the other posts above are based on similarly inaccurate "information".

I'm not trying to be rude, guys, but you just don't know what you're talking about here. EZA is going nowhere. ;)

I wouldn't say they're about to "die," but they've def been much more picky when it comes to approving articles.

That being said, they sill have a US Alexia ranking of 53 (133 worldwide), so wouldn't say they're going anywhere anytime soon.

EZA is no longer worth it. You're basically giving them free content and they don't even give you a valid seo link back anymore.

EZA does not just show unique content. At least with mine, all are duplicates.
I stopped submitting a long, long time ago. I got their coffee mug in the mail and
was very proud of myself. But as the weeks went on, I decided to publish my own
articles on squidoo and my domains. Works so much better.

They accept anyone and everyone who conforms to their editorial guidelines and policies. (Maybe you didn't?).

They give me plenty of them. And my clients. That's why we continue to use them.

I would still count on EZA! No its not going to wither away in the competition market. They have strictened their rules and keyword stuffing; implying it's going to stay for a while. :)

It's only for the couple of backlinks that people would still opt to go with EZA (it has Google PR of 6 and a link back from such a site means so much) and as Alexa points, they'd accept anyone that would comply with their TOS!
