hi, dispite the fact that deasoft sucks major @ss.....has anyone heard from them for a license reset or a new license lately? peons need not reply "no" if they haven't. kevin
First this is in the wrong category. But to answer your question it took me about a month to get my lic reset when i moved servers... post on his forums until you get an answer from him...
hi, my mistake. wasn't sure where to put it that someone would actually see it that knows what is going on. im going to start a bashing website for his software and create my own software to compete with his. deasoft is horrible. i have been waiting for a 6 days now for a license reset. hosty management
yeah install the trail lic for 14 days until you get it... we had to reinstall the trail a few times until we got the lic updated finally luckily you can use the trail on the same ip address multiple times..
hi, do you have exact steps on how to do this on a clean install. im selling off the clients and he doesn't have any license information yet. additionally he has his own license which is seperate from our licenses. hosty management
Hi! This may be slightly off topic, can you get to his forums? I haven't been able to access them for a few days. Just interested in seeing what's being posted on them. Thanks!
Here is the installation instructions... make sure you put n where it ask if you bought a lic that will install the trial.. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Execute the following commands from root ssh shell: 1. cd /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi 2. wget http://deasoft.com/install.c 3. gcc install.c -o install 4. chmod 700 install 5. ./install 6. Now simply answer the questions to complete installation. If you have purchased a license answer "y" to the first question and then enter your deasoft username and license key. If you are wanting to install the trial simply answer "n" to the first question. 7. rm install 8. rm install.c WHMreseller is now fully installed, please complete the following setup checks: 1. If you have a Firewall ensure you open outbound ports 2082,2083,2086 & 2087 2. Open WHMreseller in your root WHM control panel and complete the "Settings" section 3. That's It ! now by any chance you do not get the lic in 14 days when it expires all you have to do is uninstall.. rm -rf /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/whmreseller then just reinstall your trial again. And no i am unable to get to the forums as well..
hi, they are now up again... but yes....you can't login. its a freaking consipiracy. i swear. hosty management
yeah we had that problem for weeks on end. we did just like IwhiC did, which was install the trial over and over until he finally reset our license for our server.
zamfoo in beta form is now available and for people wishing to join the team as testers. hopefully no one will have to deal with this company ever again.
Yes, you're right. But if you rm -rf the folder after 14 days it will remove all the master resellers as well. Here is what I did when my license expired. cd /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi mv whmreseller w ./install ( this will install whmreseller again and a new folder 'whmreseller' will be created if you havent removed the installation files ) cd w cd mr mv * ../../whmreseller/mr/ rm -rf /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/w This will restore the old master resellers. Vivek
hi, i would not like have having to remember that. i would just like to be able to re-issue the license on my own. wouldn't you? kevin
hi, there is now a better alternative. check out zamfoo.com. you can reset your own licenses. thanks, kevin
I used to use the WHMreseller software, but after the fiasco in the older versions, I removed it. I haven't been back since. Have you tried V3.3, is it any good?
hi, it wasn't meant to be a bump. i wanted to post resolution to the trouble. there has been activity on the thread outside of my comments. now there is no need to ask for license resets and wait a week if that is a concern to you. it was my thread to begin with i posted the resolution to it. the deasoft license still hasn't been reset ....it was quicker to develop my own software rather than wait for a license reset for as you said...173 days.... HAHA!
