Dear Digitalpoint members, please stop spamming bidding web directories

I'm afraid some of the folks started phplb for QB. It's sad. I almost hesitate to promote mine because I don't want to look mine "one of them" even though I made mine more unique in many aspects.

 

So are they spamming you with their dir's??

 

I have received like 5-10 of those emails. Very irritating because I do not use link bidding directories eventhough I have one. spamming is just not cool!

 

ys. It is better to reveal their names.

 

Why keep the names secret? I suggest to go public.

 

Looking at the Top 20 I see ONLY 1 actual directory category ranking for the term Bidding Web Directory

I received an email from Aspidov, who I work with on a regular basis which was promotional, but it did include a link to to a thread he'd started about a flaw in phplb, which was useful, so I had no problem with that.

What I didn't like is that in the next few days I received the exact same email from 3 bid directories I didn't know minus the link to the thread.

Unfortunately I've deleted all of them so can't provide references.

 

I have received three mails as well. What was shocking was, that i already had a bid in one of them. Still i got a mail from him.
I don't know what to say about them. One of them is a close friend and a respected DP member. But this way of promotion has never been and never will be acceptable to anyone. << This, they should learn.

Yes, i did send the emails, and i am glad i did it manually, not automatically. If some of you would've taken some time and actually made your directory quality with unique content, i wouldn't have found you and send you an email.

The way i found you was in the thread I posted about buy.html pages. And i did refer to that thread in my emails in the hopes to get your "superb, quality, top sh*t, best promoted directories" to at least change the default text of phplb, because I am freaking sure as hell, you dont know much past changing your template and minimum bid.

I was not talking about you, Serg. I was talking about the spammers here who make it worse for everyone. They see someone do something, copy it, and overdo it til everyone else gets sick.
