Dear bicycle riders...

First of all, you look DUMB in your stupid helmets. If you're riding cross Country getting above 10 mph, okay, but otherwise, its stupid.

If you ride a bike and think, "Hey - I have the same street rules as a car", technically you're right.

So if you ride a bike and don't signal, you're breaking the law.

If you ride a bike and run a stopp sign, you're breaking the law.

So next time I stop at a four way stop sign and you run it (?), if I time it right and hit you, its YOUR FAULT! Ooopsie.

I know the Olympics has you fired up, but its time for you to know that cars, which weigh a lil more than your Schwinn, travel on the right side of the road much faster than you. If you're going 15mph in the right lane on a small road and there's a lot of traffic, yeah we see you. NOW its time for you to get the F*** OVER! You're holding us up, and just cuz you feel like getting excercise is no excuse.

If you ride a bike, I hate you.

    Thanks.

    Keith

    Okay,

Firstly, people wear helmets incase of accidents (e.g. some pr*ck in a car hits them because they arn't patient enough).
Secondly, cyclists don't have the same rules applied as a car (not here in the UK anyway, and I doubt they do anywhere). They are vulnerable road users and so have priority over cars/lorries/anything else that is bigger than it, just like motorbikes and pedestrians.

Hahah hilarious thread.. I go mountain biking sometimes, but that doesn't really compare, I'm not on the road. I don't wear a helmet though, if that helps any! ;)

Ugh! When I have to get all the way in the other lane because some idiot is in the middle of mine on a BIKE, that shit pisses me off. So, please stay the fuck out of the middle of the road. Sidewalks are there for a reason...bikes! Roads are for big kid vehicles. :)

Bicycles obey the same road rules as cars. I'll take up as much of the lane as I want :D

In Edmonton we have a city bylaw that allows you to ride bike on pedestrian sidewalk, but it must be equipped with a ringer to give audio signals :)

i believe we have the same rule in toronto canada as well, i don't hate them in particular just kind of annoying becuase you have to watch out for them even when they are at the side of the road I always speed up and pass them as soon as i can.

You can't bike on sidewalks, and wearing helmet is a must, so as stupid as they look, its a law, if they don't, they are breaking the law.

used to bike when i was a kid, now i have a car....meh...
