I have a forum, and 3 blogs sitting on my domain. Today, I have been running automated dead link checkers across the entire site. The forum had about 620 dead links mostly in 2 posts-- inserted by the same user. The process maxed out the first time with over 3000 pages read and 600+ dead links. I am now running the same check across the largest blog. over 3000 pages with so far about 40 dead links. mostly youtube videos that are no longer available. My questions.. are dead links a factor in SEO rank-- PR? Is there an acceptable ratio of pages to dead links? Q
