Dead Directories

I see a lot of people complaining about directories not approving their submissions. I have been keeping track of directories that are not approving 'ANY' links and hence can be considered dead.

Sharing these directories so that directory list owners can see if they want to remove them from their lists. Directory submitters would also see better results from their submissions if they get rid of these directories.

Most are PR 0 but I think 2 of them are PR2 and one is PR1.

I also have a list of directories that have been dead for around 6-7 months. What do members of this forum think about it? Should a directory not approving a link for 6 months also be considered dead?

Disclaimer: I have tried my best in keeping track of these directories and they are not approving links at all. If you own any of these directories and think my analysis is incorrect, please PM me.

you should create a strong directory list. I can see that you are addicted to this, keeping directories updated, etc.
People will always search for a clean & good free directory list.
Except VMOption's directory list which is updated daily & it is the best if you ask me, I ca tell you for sure, that the major lists(not linking to them because I don't wanna promote them anymore) are going down slowly but surely :)

@Hyper: I am also trying to create a good directory list. Removing dead directories is an step towards making the list better.

I agree that VMOption's list is pretty good and also second you when you say many major lists are not updated frequently.

That aside, I update my list everyday and that doesn't mean 'adding directories', I also delete about the same number of directories everyday (removing directories that have turned paid or changed banners to adult advertisements).

I think these directory owners have completely ignored their directories and won't bother much if the traffic / submission go down.
