Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim - WOW!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tluogv9EGTQ&feature=related&fmt=18 (Just gorgeous if very poignant music) Plus some stunning cinematography from the Seeds of Light: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7Vb5y3RLUE&fmt=18
What I find incredible, is that Lisa Gerrard is just a normal chick from Melbourne, and that 99.99% of people wouldn't recognize her in the supermarket http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh8QOvZnFtM makes my spine tingle.
Yes. Exactly. This is another one of her pieces, used I believe, if memory serves me correctly in Ron Frickes silent film, Baraka, a Sufi word meaning 'Breath of Life'. An absolutely stunning voice, just mindblowingly beautiful. WOW! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sG8b5vnAEkE&feature=related&fmt=18
Dead Can Dance is a great band. Try listening to their album called "Aion". it has some amazing tracks. I particularly love "Black Sun".
What I'm particularly looking forward to this spring and summer is some fishing from my boat up the estuary by light of a good moon, drinking from my flask of tea, dunking in my mug chocolate biscuits and listening to this music, it's just gorgeous and in that environment, the music will echo all the way across the very still waters. Hopefully, I'll catch some decent sea bass too, get a barby going on the beach, nothing like cooking on the shore at 2am in the morning, your catch which is under an hour old. What could be better?
