Friday 9:00 am Central European (Summer) Time it is possible to register 1 and 2 letter/number domains in Germany, *.de TLD Notice by DENIC has been extremely short and most registrars did not have the time yet to change their submission software. My registrar has setup a queue but charges an queue fee even if there is no success. Problem is that every registrar is allowed to submit 4 registration submissions per minute ONLY. So forget about e.g. a.de or 1.de; those will be gone within the first minute. I am located in Germany - *.de Domains require an address in Germany - if interested in the run, send a PM. Maybe we can make a deal and I will put you on the queue (NOTE: positions 1 to 16 are gone for up to 2,000 Euros) so it would be queued at a position behind 16 of my registrar's list .. and there are many registrars.
