not greed but money is a certain thing, and public relation is another factor.

Public relations has nothing to do with it. Jumping in and doing business with someone who has only 7 posts is like jumping in expecting to make easy profit.

Kinda funny really, not the OP, but those talking about post count.

first off, post count has little to nothing to do about whether someone is a scammer or not. There is one member here with thousands of posts, full rep, and some good iTrader, yet they get a thread started on them every couple of months because they scammed.

    Everyone has to start someplace.

However, heh, I'd not trade money with anyone here unless I've gotten good word of them dealing money with others, and that is regardless of post count. There just seems to be a LOT of threads about people getting scammed trading money, and by a lot of threads I mean more threads then any other type of scam I've seen.

How can you send money to a guy who has only 7 posts????
You should have seen that and should have asked him to send you the money first....

That's just the downside with e-gold because you can't chargeback, that's why scammers love to use them. You should not have transacted with him since the person has only 7 posts.

Your probably right but someone's post count/history will give you a bigger picture on what that person is like. Even if someone had 4000+ posts I would still check their history. I know of at least one person who has a higher post count and has been called scammer time and time again, yet he still lurks around these parts.

Point is, your taking a massive risk in doing business with someone who has zero reputation/history.

the reason for dealing with this member was because there was previous itrader which shows that he had successfully dealt in paypal > egold transactions !

I have recieved an infaction for this thread which I feel is largely unfair considering that this member has received no ban/warning from DP.

My reason for wanting to do the transfer was to complete a sale for a website which I am now unable to honour...I have definitely learnt my lesson although I was cautious and did select a member who was tried and tested... it is clear that this does not matter though !
