Okay so I read the sticky. This is NOT the place to post for copywriters looking for work or folks looking for copy. So what's with the wording in the description of this forum? " Forum: Copywriting For copywriters writing original content, and related issues content writers face. This is not the place for discussion about CMS or autogenerated content techniques. If you are offering or looking for copywriting services, please use this forum. " Add to that what the sticky says about where one SHOULD go - the content forum. Sorry to complain but I've got a problem with that. I totally agree copyWRITING has nothing to do with copyRIGHT (except for the fact that sales and other marketing copy are protected by copyright law) but all content is NOT copy, nor is sales copy necessarily content. Why is this a problem? Because most of the posts in the content area deal with... well content - articles mostly. As someone who believes that unless you are part of the solution, you are part of the problem, I'd like to suggest a fix... would it be possible to start a section or sub-section dedicated to sales copy? Regards, Andy P.S. If this cannot be done, can someone at least remove the language in the copywriting forum description saying this IS the place for those offering or looking for copywriting services?
Gee, I wonder how flip you would be if you WERE trying. Apparently I do. Maybe someone like myself who really CARES about MARKETING? Someone who would like to offer quality copywriting services, as I would, or who would like to easily find said services. Regards, Andy
Interesting. Actually we need a mod here to discuss it further. My suggestion goes further: Taking the quality of articles sold here up, engaging quality publishers and bringing top notch writers. @Perry Rose Yeah, when it's not your forum, you don't have to care about users.
I'd reckon they have the system as is to keep things more organized than it could be if you have people posting their services in their respective sub-forums. There are sub-forums for programming, one for graphic design, one for website creation and so forth; should we then allow people selling these specific services post their services thread in these forums too? No; that would create less order than the present system. If you want to get all technical about it, sure content is not always copywriting, but I am not 100% clear as to when copywriting isn't always content. It's a little harder to weed through, sure, but so is it hard to weed through the scripts forum looking for certain types of coders and scripts. But at least I know that if I am looking for a freelancer or to offer services, I go to the BUY/SELL/trade section which, if we are still being technical, is technically where you should list services for sale.
Hopehunter: I'd reckon, you are completely right. You are helpful in giving him these giving directions. I have found even more rules and infraction reasons, and that took four hours of searching and heading in many different areas besides Q & A. Clarification to the poster was helpful, and a notice to comply. Now since you know more about this part, and you do have connections, can he remove his post voluntarily without receiving an infraction?
That piece of text can be confusing. But it actually links to a different section of the forum (Not the copywriting section). Maybe the text can be changed to
Thanks that is two good posts in a row. He should surely see the light. Of course some people never do, and others realize the DP forum is one of the least tolerant. It looks like he has been given to harmless strikes, (and 2 suggestions.) I will say the mods are certainly on patrol in the copywriting forum. So personally I do not need to be a mod, to know it will take anywhere between 1 and 3. Even baseball has no such thing as 4 strikes. Your 4 day grace period, is something you should not avoid. You should not have been dazed and confused about this being the copyright forum. However, I will let those with authority do their job, and not interfere as they have plenty to do without being compensated.
