Update the time today. Should Win XP update automatically?

    Where do you live?
I don't have to update my time in a couple months or so...

If you are in India there is no problem for you

Only in England I think there is daylight saving time mechanism where they change the time in winter!

Lot of countries in Northern Hamisphere have DST changing. US, UK, Canada and lot of other countries do it. US used to have DST during end of March. From this year they changed it to mid-March to save energy, etc.

Yes now we are having a problem for Indian users

The time is 8.25 am in IST

But Digitalpoint time shows it is 9.25 am

Shawn can you do anything in this regard?

Win XP should update automatically if you installed the patch (part of update). Thanks for the reminder.

Nooo we loose an hour :( and I can't afford to lose time (that's why I'm not sleeping tonight lol). Does anyone know of a site where we can check and see if our time is correct?

Even DP forum is experiencing incorrect time display. Well atleast for non-US users. I believe if a site is hosted on a US-based server, the time setting will change and users cant do something about it. Unless adjustment is done on the server itself.

Give it a day. Over here at PST server time, we still got six hours before the change is due.

But why the change is displayed now itself here?

Its showing 1 hour ahead of us even though it has not been implemented there?

That's probably because DP is hosted on a US-based server. So even if you set your DST setting to auto/off, it wont correct it.

I have a $3000 Breitling B-1 and can you believe I have to manually adjust the bastard.

XP will update automatically but I read that the time change in the UK is toward the end of this month, not sure about the USA though trooper. Or is it India changing today? I'm confused lol.

As for DP settings just adjust it in your CP mate. :)

Well if you are willing to deduct 1 timezone then its fine. So if you're GMT +4 then you need to be GMT +3. Kinda uncomfy for me. Well its just me whos saying. :D Btw, setting the DST to off/auto wont change anything.

We(Indians) do not change time we follow the same time throughout the year?

If I adjust in my computer then I I visit other forums then I will be having different time in my CP.

I think Shawn can adjust the DST settings or can do something so the original time(IST) is displayed at the forums instead of 1 hour ahead of it!

 I just bought a new SmartSet alarm clock and it's "Pre-programed for 10 years of daylight savings time." I wonder if its going to work. Only 10 min to go!

Edit:12:07 #### now I have to go back to walmart!
