Davydenko match fixing again?

I was following Davydenko's French open match at Betfair and see what I just noticed:

Around a million was layed at 1.02 (50.0 odds for Davydenko to lose) that means someone just made 50 millions an hour back when Davydenko lost. I noticed the way odds were drifting and I gave a look at the odds trend chart.
My friend alerted Betfair and even they consider it something out of blue.
As I type Germany have scored another goal against Serbia recovering my loss.

Let's wait for an official report.

And your math is far too wrong. Laying a 1,000,000 pounds at price of 1.02 mean a risk of 20,000 pounds => so nobody has made 50,000,000 pounds on this match. And the second detail is that it is the market revenue, not only 1 player has taken whole 1 milion ...

And by the way that is a US dollar over there on the picture, not an UK pounds :p

My Betfair account's currency is in US dollars so I don't understand your pound sterling figures. As far as my maths is concerned is perfectly alright (atleast a person who spend min. 4 hours a day at Betfair cannot be wrong here). Betfair has certain limits so obviously a group of people would have done it. Around 906,000 traded at 1.02 means there was excess of 700,000 which clearly suggests an irregular betting pattern (taking an average of 200,000 at each odd). Betfair would have taken action but I guess many people didn't notice or complain and Betfair didn't bother much (why would they, voiding bets would leave them no commission)

I'm afraid you are wrong with your math, as I miss-looked the currencies.

    Let me explain to you.
Traded > let's suppose there has been $1,000,000 traded, that means somebody (or a group) has staken that kind of ammunt on the defined price.

Same as a matched bet is a bet that has been made between either two customers, a backer and a layer, or between a customer and Betfair. Once a bet is matched it cannot be edited, amended or cancelled, other than by Betfair.

Second, Betfair does not care for little commision, they are fighting with illegal, and fixed matches.

    Here is a example:
I will BACK $100 on home team at odd of 1.70, so somebody has to risk $70.
If there was $900,000 traded at 1.02, somebody had to risk $18,000
From where did you got $50 million ???
If somebody would made $50 milion at 1.02, then 50times more would be in 'traded' line, in our case $2.5 billion, which is obviously not possible.

Regarding limits, I have no exposure limits :)

No offence my fellow trader, but you were wrong, it was $900,000 which could be considered as winning to person or closed group, not $50million as you stated. If you stare 4 hours at something, it will not make you a professional. Try to be little less agressive next time :)

But I like your acumen, you are far more better than others I have met before, keep it up. ;)

Davydenko was winning 6-4, 6-2 and then suddenly lost 3 sets 3-6, 2-6, and 4-6. This is happening with more players but he should be better than Ljubicic who lost his match 3-1 on sets agains Monfils in the next round. Davydenko has gone to semi final in 2007 also in 2005, now got beaten in 3rd round.

By the way, did you had a bet on Davydenko?

    Jankovic - Ivanovic
Ivanovic was leading in set 2 with score 3:1, after that she lost set 2 with score 3:6 to jaknovic, that is also surprise.
The odds touched 1.03 in betfair and 1.01 in any other live betting sportsbook that time.
Then she won (Ivanovic) 6-4 when Jankovic lost her serve with 30 points.

    There was a jump between 2 > 27 > 2 > infinite odds for Jankovic.

    (over $32,000,000 matched)
