I'm about to launch a travel website and it will focus on one country only (Brazil). I've really put a lot of effort into content (30 000 plus words) which should be around 70 pages or so. My problem is that I will be up against websites which cover the whole world and have 1000's of pages but their content for Brazil is rather generic as opposed to the detail I will provide. They may only have 40 pages on Brazil but when you have 100 countries you end up with a big site. I know eventually quality content wins out but in the mean time are there any thoughts as to how I can punch above my weight? Does anybody else face this same problem and how to do you/did you work through it? Thanks in advance Gavin
i run a teen advice site and up against some goverment sites, the way im starting to pull thru is by othering stuff that their site(s) do not offer, get my link known (get teens that go 2 skool to spread it via mouth) etc in your case you could find a travel agents that deal with brazil and do some kinda partnership you advertise there website online they advertise yours in their shops. and of course provide plenty of content and in your case get hold of some nice pics aswell
