Hello! I am working on a dating website for spain and my main concern is how should I convince visitors to register when they will be the first visitors. I mean, when the site is launched, the first visitors will know they are the first and they won't find somebody else registered. How would you manage this situation? It happens, for instance, when i go to a forum and I see there are only about 90 members registered, I leave without any interest in registering. I think that will happen as you visit the dating website and you see there are only 5 people registered or you are the very first! I appreciate your advice, specially for those with dating websites. Try to convince more of your friends to signup before you actually launch your website. Also you could do a couple of signups yourself so that the website will look more popular... This just for the beginning.
Just like setting up a forum have like 10 to 30 fake accounts and keep up with them. You know all with someone but looking and flirt. it takes some work but you can slowly take yourself out of the seen soon or enough.
Start from your own friend circle, ask your friends and their girl friends to get register there, the way it will be propagated. I would be one that sign up.
