I don't have the Bling but I can sing How about this one? When you gaze at your door step, do you see me standing there, just remember baby that I am the only one that really cares I don't have a lot of cash but I talk a lot of trash
You guys just ask the girls on the forum how sincere I am about my intentions with all of them, they will tell you that I love each and everyone of them PS: I also remember most of their names
AC no offense but chicks these days don't dig Elvis too much ... you should start dressing like Usher and practice your moves
In 1977 when Elvis killed himself with his pill habit he was almost forgotten, until he died. Back then music was mostly Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and all of what we call "Classic Rock" today. But when I came across some live Elvis in 1990 or so and seen some of his live concerts on video I realized that he was in fact the greatest, even Robert Plant the lead singer of Zeppelin was his greatest fan. Don't you remember when he put "Shake it one time for Elvis" in a tune man? Just don't dig rap, but check out the Blues all the time, Luther Allison would blow Usher off the stage man, he is a guitarist that most kids never heard of that died a few years back, if you can get his live stuff you will find he was right where Hendrix was when it comes to talent.
Anthony if you dig blues music you should check out RL Burnside...that is some real deal delta blues, sung by a guy who grew up a cotton farmer. http://www.fatpossum.com/artists/rl.html In the late 90's his teenage grandson started playing drums for him, and they toured with John Spencer Blues Explosion...then went on to make some pretty damn cool blues rap music. It's more like trip hop I guess, but either way it's amazing. He was definitely the coolest celebrity I ever met. He hung out with a group of us after his show, drank whiskey on the rocks, and told us stories about fishing in Mississippi and dancing at his juke joint.
I know, he is the Starship Commandor in Jupiter's Armada ... I've read about it in the National Enquirer
Hey man, I did not make up the "King of Rock" title for Elvis You kids are just too young to realize it, but as you see more video and hear some live concerts you will see that his stuff will stand the test of time and artists like "Wacko Jacko" and "Usher" will not. 100 years from now Wacko and Usher will be unknown and Elvis will still be "The King". They used to say the same thing about Michael Jackson in the 80's on how great he was. How great is he now?????? Folks still like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix (Hendrix has been dead since 1970, Zeppelin disbanded in 1980) "Wacko" could never stand on the same stage with them even in his prime man. Now back to dating, OK guys
I have been to Elvis' house and I just saw a Zeppelin cover band a week ago in Whistler (they were awesome too). AC, you should check out Soulive....they jam.
Elvis home in Memphis, I drove by it in 1977, Elvis Presley Boulevard into Mississippi on a sales trip fresh out of High School. Chachi, you were in Canada (Whistler), man tell us where you live, you have a San Diego website, live in Northern California and just went to Canada, we can't figure you out old man
You got it right brutha. I lived in SD and used to broker real estate down there. Was fortunate enough to get out of brokerage and go out on my own with a college buddy. I live in SF now with my new fiance. She is now my fiance because of the trip to Whistler. I wish I knew the name of the band as they are great. If you are ever in Whistler I would see if they are playing (they are local). I am sure that if the King saw what his hood looks like today, he would move.
Sounds like this thread is right up your alley man, better give these kids some advice You could be the next Dr. Phil
Yeah but the Dr. Chachi show could be a big hit just like Dr. Phil ST, Usher is nothing but a pop star and I never liked POP, the so-called King of POP or his PAPA or his sisters Latoya or Janet. Homey don't play that Dogieo my gangster I would rather watch Shakira and watch chicks dance to that ST, if I had to suffer through some rap I would watch a Dr. Dre or a Snoop Doggy Dog Video. I did like Puff Daddy's video of Kashmir when he and Jimmy Page worked on that but that is about it man.
I'm really enjoying how a thread about wanting relationship advices ends up with a bunch of guys telling each other how coooool they are, talking about Elvis, and debating about music. *sigh*
