Selling Dating forum with traffic

I'm looking to sell my dating forum as I am leaving the internet to persue a different career.

The forum has 2 mods and runs by itself, I did put adsense on there for a few months and earnt an average of $50 per month.

Ideally this forum would be suitable for someone starting a dating site in need of an initial traffic boost. The best way to do this would be to integrate the forum into your dating site and auto register the existing members of this forum.

The server is with UK2.net and costs £150 per year, I am willing to just transfer the whole hosting account to you or we can transfer the domain and I send you the database and website files.

The forum is in a niche genre, it's a forum for plenty of fish users, plenty of fish does have it's own forum but it is very unpopular due to it's crazy rules such as no flirting, no chatting or no addressing members. Obviously rules like that take out the fun and I setup pofusers.com after being asked by users to create an alternative. One of the MODS on the official POF forum routinely recommends users to my forum.

The forum itself has been highly optimised for google. This really is a great opportunity for someone starting out in dating, the members are very loyal and would welcome an admin that is willing to spend some time pushing the site forward, although the site is initially a branch off from POF the users consider pofusers.com a serperate entity, the users would certainly not object to a name chage in fact its been suggested a few times. I did promise the members that I would turn the forum into a fully fledged dating site so they would welcome the change. Alternatively you could just keep it as a forum and implement extra features such as games, profiles etc.



Finally I'd just like to say this is not some 2 bit chuck together and sell, a lot of hard work and dedication went into building this forum, unfortunately I just do not have the time to persue it due to work commitments.

Therefore I am putting this up for auction in the hope that it'll find a loving new admin!

If you are new to forums I'd be happy to provide free aftersale support to the new owner for as long as it takes to get you upto speed but like I said the site runs itself so there isn't really much to do.

I've had a few pm's asking the same questions so to answer:

Membership currently stands at just over 1500 members. All of these accounts are real people, I regularly prune the database removing accounts that have 0 posts.

The forum has never been advertised using pay for advertising methods such as adwords. The reason the site is popular is for 2 reasons:

1) the sites seo is highly optimised for google, this is probably some of the best seo you will see on a phpbb board.

2) the site was initially promoted virally by people posting links to their friends etc. this kick started the site and the rest happened naturally.

just a quick update, the hosting on this account expires on April 2013 and this account will be included with the site and I will cover any of the admin costs involved with transfering ownership of the hosting account and domain.

I've also lowered the BIN price to $400.
