Datafeed integration + Linkshare Review and $250 signup? Anybody used that?

    Hey guys,

Been doing some research with datafeeds and playing with the XML/PHP options out there. Overall, not super happy with the user friendliness of it all. Curious if anyone had any recommendations, I've found a few resources for writing your own datafeed, but not many reviews of individual companies feeds and how well they perform compared to other options to generate sales

For example, this is a pretty informative article:

Also, several of the datafeeds I've ran across have serious holes in their cross-browser compatibility, along with just generally bad code. Anyone recommend any certain companies/feeds that are integrating well?

Also, I signed up with Linkshare and was curious of people's thoughts. For one, twice I've logged in and it says "Reporting servers are too busy" so there are no statistics available, is that common?

Mainly though, I wanted to search for affiliate companies that provided some form of a feed and according to Linkshare, I have to pay a $250 signup fee to access those merchants? What type of activation / setup is needed? Has anyone done this and found it useful/profitable? Or do they recommend another company that provides a feed list of affiliates instead? Just trying to find some options, appreciate any two cents
