Nice and clean! Good to see proper referencing as well.

A glossary of terms would be helpful.
Database backups would be an interesting read as well.

I think it's generalness will make most pass. There is nothing specific I can use to solve an actual problem, nor choose an engine.

You need to choose an engine and give information to actully apply to it's use.

The page loads from the side menu had problems with load time. That could be a coincidence of many other fators though.

    Nice site! Comments:
    1. I like the header, the red against the black of the current page. BUT the effect is slightly wasted since it doesn't show on the pages where a visitor is likely to spend most time - the contents.
    2. "Don't use tables for layout. Don't use tables for layout"
    3. Would have been nice to have the whole front page load in a (for me normal) window. Since it is optimized for 880 px width, it becomes cumbersome to view it on smaller screens. The thing that disappears, is the links to the main contents. Might be an idea to move those to somewhere where they will stay on the screen.
    4. Concerning contents, it might be a good idea to state it more clearly what this site has to offer that all the other database primers out there lack.
