Database Search Error - This is maddening - Please advice

    My friend owns this site http://www.nairobinanny.com but he has been unable to use it cause when you do a search on the site, you get this error
    ==
    Ooops!The SELECT would examine more than MAX_JOIN_SIZE rows; check your WHERE and use SET SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1 or SET SQL_MAX_JOIN_SIZE=# if the SELECT is okay
    ===

    I have heard it could be a problem to do with indexes in the database tables which im not sure what that means. Please advice me on what could be the problem and the solution to this

    Thanks for that..i have read it and will try to implement as they suggest..i noticed the search works well within localhost but on the internet server we get the error
