I am using hosting server. As far I understand, there is mysql password and username and also database password and user name. Leaving them blank is a huge security hole. But where can be mysql password changed on hosting server? I know password for database, but have no idea about mysql. Is mysql password set by hosting provider and is it ok to just leave it?

Another question I have is where is it save to keep database password if I use it in my php script? Do I need to create another folder not accessible to web only for this and put there php file which stores password?

    tnx!

the second question has nothing to do with technical support group. Also I think it is about the same in all hosting companies, so I am sure somebody here will know the answer.

    tnx again
