Data traffic question

I just received an email of my hosting provider in which they told me I have to decrease my data traffic before the end of this week. I'm currently using 4400MB and I'm only allowed to use 4282MB, problem is in don't know anything about data traffic and thing related to databases.

It is my first website and it launched last week, it is a proxy website and I submitted it to different directories a few days ago. My visitors increased from around 30 to 1400 for two days, now it's around 300-400 unique visitors per day. Also I’m running a blog on it which has around 20 visitors per day.

I did some research on data traffic and I think to problem of me using too much data traffic is caused by the insane amount of visitors I had for 2-3 days. The only question now is, am I right and will my data traffic decrease in the next couple of days? If not, how to decrease my data traffic while keeping my proxy and blog?

Isn't really related to databases, the bandwidth usage is from the proxy. Check to see what the current daily usage is and do a little math to see if its still on track to exceed your capacity. You can check bandwidth usage in CPanel under Logs>Bandwidth. Can probably get better help for running a proxy in the site/server admin category.
