We have LAN with one server and 50 nodes. The nodes are being used by our office staff for their routine work. Each user generates data either by using MS Office, Tally accounting and ERP software. Though directed, our users forget to take daily backup on their respective nodes and subsequently stores the data on server. We need a software which forcefully stores user data on server and takes automatic daily backup of data stored on server. Can somebody suggest the software.
What software is being used on the servers/PCs? Server 2003/2008/SBS, XP, Vista, Windows 7? Is there a local domain, or are they all just a workgroup? The best solution depends on so many factors that we'd need a lot more info before even suggesting some avenues. Surely, with such a large set-up, you have an IT specialist, or a support company, you could discuss this with. They would be in a better position to help if they knew your set-up.
Hello. I think EMC Legato Networker can help u. It works fine on server and on client. When backup job starts, it communicates with nodes and servers. It's not free and needs a dedicated server and a tape or filesystem or NAS to write. It works on Linux/Unix/Aix,Solaris,Windows.
