Data problem

My billing clerk was browsing accounts and we found the following problem. We have had a customer in the system since 2004 and today we discovered that her data records are all blank. They were OK for the March billing as she received a bill because we have a payment. The only thing that shows up in her record is a 0 in the password field in the Cust info record. All other fields on this page are blank and all other pages are blank. When we print the Deposit report for her last deposit it shows a () (open/close paren) as her customer name, login. Date, time, check # and amount all show OK. I assume links are lost for this customer. I ran reindex but it didn't change anything. What is the next step? We are using V3.3.2

How are you able to determine which customer record it was exactly?

Did a find on last name "Clark" (her last name and also her login) and it showed 11 records. Scanned one at a time and it showed all Clarks in our paper files except the one which is not displaying. Printed a Deposit report for the day of her last payment and it is as stated before with every thing correct for her last payment.

Hmmm... that is definitely odd. You have you already tried to recover all files?

Sorry.. I have been gone for a couple of days. I have not tried to recover the files yet. I will download the latest version today. It automatically converts/recovers on an upgrade, right?

I would go to a backup in that case.

Not possible to go to backup because too much has transpired since we found the problem. Will have to add as new customer and lose the history.
