Dashes in domain name

    Dashes wont affect your ranking on searches. However, if at some point you want to sell that domain having a dash on it will take away your chances to sell it. Domains with dashes pretty much have no value

    Only put dashes between words like this-site.com and it would be basically the same as owning thissite.com. Except the value for thissite.com would be more then the domain with dashes as it has less characters.

    Although, hashes does not effect on SEO but yet it is not a good idea, unless it is your requirement.

    Keep your domain name very simple and such that your visitors can memorize it easily.
