Hello, i have very important question, i must choose domain for my site, it contains 3 keywords, lets say KW1, KW2 and KW3, what is best for SEO: kw1-kw2-kw3.com , kw1kw2-kw3.com or kw1kw2kw3.com?

it will be good to choose kw1kw2-kw3.com because other variants are already in use, can anyone give me advise?

The dash does not matter, it is how you use the domain, and that will determine your fail or
success. Look at source-wave.com, he has a dash in his domain, he claims to earn $5m/year....
however, i personally would never use a dash as I do not find it that attractive, but it does not
appear to be slowing down source-wave. The bottom line is how good you can market & promote...

there will be instances where a hyphen will help make the words distinct

these are the cleaned up versions of real sites, take the hypens out and the name could be misconstrued:
    • pen-island
    • black-hat-ebook
    • la-drape
    • hollands-hit-festival
    • who-represents
    • therapist-finder

When I see a hyphen I immediately think it is somebody who could not find a better domain name without them. Or I think it is a spam site. And kw1kw2-kw3.com is absolutely the worst option of all.

How come Best Buy didn't choose best-buy.com over bestbuy.com? Or digital-point.com? Or retail-me-not? Hyphens are the last resort. Keep looking for other options before choosing a hyphenated name.

People with SEO, making money online, or affiliate sites and blogs all claim to make big money. They can't all be making millions a year for working 2 hours a day.

Thank you for answers, but i'm not interested in user experience, i don't care if somebody don't like hyphens and can't remember my site's name because of that, all i think about is SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION, i can't decide which is better for google search engine optimization, hyphens or without hyphens.

I'd recommend avoiding hyphens if you can - especially more than one. I read several articles a while back where Google was lowering the authority of top level domains with dashes in it (especially multiple dashes). I also owned a site with like 3 dashes in it and that sites got slapped. You can try it if you want, but it's just cleaner and less riskier to all the dashes imo. It's kinda like with .info domains...yes, you may be able to still rank a .info well, but you have to jump through a helluva lot more hurdles to do so. So why not just take the path of less resistance and avoid added barriers?

Hyphens act as word separators. That said, it's ideal not to use hyphens, if you don't have to.
