Daredirectory What can i do about earnings

Hello i have a dilema I've launched daredirectory.info from 7 days ok here are the statistics for 7 days :

Number Of Visitators 957
Number of Sites in the directory : 329 sites aproved (40-50 submissions per day)
The directory is free and it will remain this way only that i have adsense on it and it's not doing so well comparating to the other stats
Here are the adsense facts for the 7 days :

Note : I don't whant to get rich over this as my main business is freelancing online webdesigning link building webdirectory submissions ... but i whant to make a network of sites and this was the firs and i'm a litle disapointed as i hoped to earn enouf to be able to pay the cost of maintanence and develop the rest of my private projects

So what are you sugestions what i can do ?

You will not make much with AdSense on a directory. This generall goes for all ads: Yahoo, Adbrite, Chitika. The people that visit your site just aren't interested in clicking on ads. Your visitors, for the most part are webmasters and avoid clicking ads like the plague. They come to your site for the sole purpose of submitting their sites.

So, the easiest way to have a directory pay for itself is to offered some paid submission options, just as Featured Listings, or even just an express submission (for a few bucks they get a quick day or two review). People will purchase these and you would make enough to cover any costs running the directory and have some extra cash to put back in to promoting your site.

 

Well i don't whant to have payed listings ....
