Are there any dangers in using revenue sharing forums, such as dp. What I'm thinking is link bombing and other things. What I really want to know is, is there any risk of getting banned? Cheers, Martyn
I think there is no incidence of an account being banned because of revenue sharing with dp. You are safe here
About a year and a half ago there was a rash of Adsense account bannings.. after many threads and polls, it looked like the only common denominitor was that all of the bann'ees were part of the DP rev. sharing program. Although we'll never know for sure, IHMO, the bannings had something to do with the revenue sharing.. it hasn't happened since, and i think in general it is safe, but i'm just sayin.
My honest opinion is that no, it's not a problem. I don't know this for sure, but I would be surprised if Google did not have some sort of internal mechanism that could detect revenue-sharing schemes. This is especially true if what Tearabite is saying was confirmed as true - Google probably received a backlash from that instance and has since looked at correcting things in terms of working with revenue sharing schemes.
I don't think there are really any dangers to this, but revenue sharing earns just a little, it does add up however.
revenue sharing is good and chance to get a click bomb is also slim because our ads seldom got displayed. anyway if the oen that share revenue been banned, DP should be banned too right? so as long as DP is ok, we should be ok.
OK it is good to know the general opinion is sit is safe here, - but for other revenue sharing forums, should I be careful or is it likely to be as safe as on here? Cheers, Martyn
There are no dangers, but revenue-sharing forums add only a few cents. There are many tons of such forums & sites, that implement this concept.
You're pretty safe with revenue sharing here. No one maliciously clicks links randomly, and even if they did it'd be hard for the Google team to swim through all the thousands of visits this site gets.
