http://www.crooksandliars.com/2008/...ict-instructionsto-not-talk-about-the-dollar/ I'd say it's about time to invade the White House with a million people and hang them by their balls before we wake up as chipped slaves of a totalitarian regime.
Somebody has to pay for the 'housing bailout' . It appears the Fed is printing money tp bailout the Banks and the subprime borrowers that bought McMansions that they couldn't afford.
I guess the treasury don't want to be caught off guard with any unprepared comments. Would rather the press secretary do the job with all the prepared statements. Seemed that the dollar is getting a bit sensitive nowadays.
The cost of living is more important to most people than the short term price of real estate. Gasoline and food is something that people pay for daily and it's going to be hard to keep the declining dollar out of the news.
That's when you know the American Empires is over when people start heading to mexico in large numbers because things are bad here.
They still like gringos down there but I don't know for how much longer. The dollar is at 100.23 Yen and the Euro 1€ = $1.55 US
I've been in Mexico for the past year, and I must tell you...Mexican women love gringos. And my rent is $100 a month. Don't be jelous now. I have already met people staying down here because of the political situation.
$100 sounds like the cost of hosting a single server You must be really enjoying there! What's the size of the room you are getting for $100? Can't believe it.
It's a 2 bedroom house complete with stairs up to the roof. I spend my days eating shrimp and drinking cheap beer. I will be buying some property down here within the next year or so - it's just so cheap compared to Nor Cal, I still can't get over it.
The reason she can't talk about the dollar, and it is policy, is that everything is linked to the dollar. The war, the budget, the inflation etc. It's not just housing. This economy moved from a solid foundation to swamp in 1913. In 1971, it moved to sand. The dollar is very sick, and there are no fixes on the horizon, except perhaps a bump from a new President and short term boost of confidence. The good times are starting to come to an end. WOW. Where the heck do you live?!
