These infractions are getting ridiculous. Sheesh!

 

When you're offering "free traffic" post it in the freebies section....not general business or wherever you had it before.

 

And making a thread about infractions lead to more infractions

Staff don't give infractions unless you did something to earn them.

 

You'd be surprised what Mods will give infractions for. Mods have became something else imho. I know someone who got infracted for a post that was over a week old & they said the person was spamming when they werent, they were asking for someone who needed some help putting something together. There was one response and the thread died. Yet that person was infracted...

It was cool when DP was friendlier...

 

dougeetx, keep in mind that infractions are mostly harmless until they stack up. So just don't repeat the same mistake and you'll be fine. There is an expiration date for every infraction, you know

 

No surprises if you take the time to read the rules and then abide by them.

I do find it somewhat amusing that you don't think DP is as "friendly" as it once was but have no problems leaving insulting messages via the rep system. LIke I said, the members decide "how friendly" this place is, not the mods.

 

see my point exactly, I only did that to show that you are able to control anything & everything. It also proves what others have said & what is recorded in in Google.

The mods take their power and use it to the max, there was no reason for you to ban that guy doug, he posted something that he saw as being free & in a general business idea. It was in the area that was best suited for him. He felt unjustified so he voiced his frustration. So maybe he didn't read the rules when posting about an infraction but does that constitute in him being banned?

 

That's funny. Somehow you calling me an asshole via rep shows that I have "control of anything and everything"? Mods can see who left rep comments for them, it's just a VB feature...which by the way only the admin (which I am not) can set.

You know nothing about dougeetx's history or why he was banned. You're just making things up in your head to justify your earlier comments. He didn't get banned for posting something in the wrong area. He got banned for exceeding the number of allowable infraction points given to him by a number of mods on a number of different occassions over a lengthy period of time. You know why he received those infractions? Because members reported him and his posts.

Anyone who complains about DP "isn't friendly" should just step away from keyboard until they realize that DP, and what it is or isn't, is a result of the members, not the mods. THE MEMBERS ARE DP, the mods are just here to help out.

 

Getting an infraction and then starting this thread to get more infractions... kinda stupid idea to me.
