Tried my luck for the first time at poker yesterday/today... Added $50 to my account yesterday, and it was going great, got it upto $103... Went to bed, got up played today, and i've lost it alll.... it's down to $0 -- nothing. zero. zip. I'm gutted. I dont know what happened. (except that i lost) It was going so well!!! Anyway, just wanted to tell someone how upset i am Cheers guys.
I played once, lost a huge pot with a full house to a straight flush. Haven't played since, don't trust online poker.
Im a big gambler myself and i know what it feels like... The best way to get over it is to go out with your friends to get drunk and have them pay for everything.
I don't get why people even play Poker online anymore. There are constantly tournaments in ever pub/bar/etc ranging from big ones with $100,000 top prizes to little ones, all of which $50 can easily get you in. Personally I like the human interaction and playing online is just boring. You might as well play roulette
I love online poker, you can play whenever or wherever you are Best thing is you can get up and stop playing if you want, can't do that in most of the real games.
Tried online poker....found out real quick...can't see my opponents eyes, their body structure and foibles. Now live poker at a casino? The best! You get real cards to hold and play with. People are right there, you can see them as they get their cards, how they react. How they bluff...and so forth. Never play online again... HAH....my 2800th post has to be about poker!!!
That must be a matter of personal preference because one of the things I like about No Limit Tournaments is that people can't just get up and walk away when they want. It would drive me crazy if I was online and the people around the table were constantly changing. It becomes a game of playing the percentages without human contact. Who am I to say whats better though, millions are bet every day on online poker.
I play poker 3-5 times per week but never online. Online pokers sucks ass... the real skill to the game is in knowing how to read your opponents and you cannot do that through a monitor.
That's gambling for you. You would have been better off spending the money on AdWords Then again, the entertainment value can be worth the loss... I've blown 50 bucks just going to see really sucky movies.
Did the online poker thing for a few sites, just wasn't feeling the vibe of not seeing my opponents and feeling the chips in hand..Gave it up to ride a bike and hike the woods.
