True you can integrate them but it still sucks compared to PHPBay. In content banners and links work better than a click away store integrated with WP.
thats not true at all. bans can and is on many sites very nicely integrated with wordpress which works very well. as for being standalone, why is that a problem? most websites are standalone (whatever that means) and also work very well. if one puts a little time and effort using bans to build a worthwhile website then you will have some success as ebay DOES convert. for a novice to coding it is a very easy way to put up a site and achieve traffic.
I just checked my quality score for the first time. It went from Medium at the end of August to Very Low mid September. I have no idea what it's based on. My stats this month are almost exactly the same as last, same number of ACRUs and same amount of winning bid revenue. I suppose I should prepare myself for a royal screwing by EPN.
Insane, isn't it. Instead of hurrying to the EPN dashboard to see how our sales are doing, we are fearfully opening it to see if we have been axed from their program. Reminds me of the final months of the last sales job I worked in...
Reminds me of another network with a three letter acronym ending in PN...YPN. Got the Dear John letter from them one day about having low quality traffic. They didn't mention that the ads they were serving were garbage. I'm definitely going to focus on a replacement for EPN.
I don't do much w/epn but my sales are nonexistant this month compared to last. A lot of un-encouraging stuff about them on the net recently. overall traffic down too. http://trends.google.com/websites?q=ebay.com&geo=all&date=all&sort=0
Wow, looks like I started a bit of a rant here guys - after all of my panic, the last two days have just seen me hit my best month yet with EPN, so maybe i should have kept my mouth shut I guess the secret with EPN like anything else on the web is to update content , do good SEO and promote your sites, arguments about the best software to use are meaningless if you just stick it up and hope for the best. BTW, in case yo didnt know I'm using Joomla and RSS feeds and starting to get decent results, so I think that proves my point about choice of software being essentially irrelevant.
hi: I disagree that software is irrelevent. Some software (like BANS and PhpBay) are awesome builders for newbies who have no technical knowledge how to build an eBay affiliate websites from the scratch. sure you'd argue that it's not hard to learn. However, I think your precious time are better spent in building quality contents/backlinks and driving targetted traffic to your websites. Just my two cents, CY
My point about software being irrelevant was related to the quality of the serps results and traffic you get, not about how simple it is to install/configure/run. Hey, I'm not bashing BANS or anything else here, horses for courses and all that... I just happen to like Joomla, I'm not saying its the only game in town!
hey drax: don't worry, I am not offended. Jus sayinig that some software helps newbie to build site. Of course, the quality of visitors have got nothing to do with the software, period. IMHO, it will depend on your marketing skill, including niche selection, copywriting and also SEO. cheers, CY
I'm down BIG time this month. I had 2 months of ACRUs, which helped out a lot, but so far I've made $.77 this month. Pathetic.
We are still reporting great sales, but I have read here and other places that people are having a bad month.
Agreed ... excuse the pun but once I gat off the BANs wagon my conversions improved along with everything else.
I disagree. If you don't make money with BANS, it's not BANS fault. If you dont have the marketing skills to make money with affiliate programs, API won't convert for you either.
we all hate it, but yet it seems to be the drug of choice. where else are you going to find the substitute. Help me get off the ebay fix.
