Anyone else noticed a big drop this month. I guess all the financial doom and gloom isnt helping but my stats suck big time. 16 days and 3 bucks from 20 BANS sites! Any ideas, incidentaly what is considered a good number of clicks per site per day, 2,20,200? Just trying to get an ideas ta guys
Nope, record month so far here. Averaging 20,000 clicks a day. Averaging 34 Acrus a day. Don't use BANS, don't see how someone can provide value across 20 sites TBH.
Yea, stop using BANS. Learn to use the API. Don't think about earning. Think about offering value to your visitors. Think about ways to make them return. The rest will follow.
The man's right, I am sure. However, must say I have also seen a drop, like about a 5th of what I did in August, month on month, but with more or less the same clicks.
Don't want to be smart-Alecky here, but when ebay left CJ, I warned everyone, that they are gonna get your commissions from you and you won't even know it. Now it's all coming true. They (EPN) has already made millions from all the BANS sites that made nothing in return. The answer? Leave EPN asap. They NEED to go down before they wake up.
Excuse me. Why do my EPN earnings keep rising in spite of the utter disdain EPN has for it's partners? I grant you that EPN is one of the most untrustworthy, unstable and unfriendly merchants in the affiliate sphere, but in my recent experience nothing else converts like it. My attitude is to make hay while the sun shines, fully appreciating the high risk this program poses for the affiliate. I've stopped building new stuff targeting EPN, but I'll stick with what I have and keep nursing it along. That said, I'm off to probe other affiliate opportunities in the hopes of finding something that approaches EPN in performance.
yh they have already deducted some of my earnings twice the month. dont trust them either but i tried amazon but the conversion rate was really bad.
Probably seasonal fluctuations have a say here too - at least one of my niches is very much related to a summer activity. Also, people have spent all their money over summer and are kind of holding off pre-Christmas. Though I'm just guessing. I noticed the click-through from my sites actually is a little worse, even though search traffic is about the same - like people are window-shopping...
Amen, that's a sound bit of advice. But can I ask, are you not concerned about bringing visitors back? Don't you fear that you risk the wrath of EPN, since they are remaining engaged with your site/s rather than with eBay itself, and they keep having to pay you commissions for the same customers?
Ebay/EPN is still one of the most lucrative affiliate programs out there, and we have noticed a considerable rise in sales (commissions) over the past two months. It might just be due to their recent actions. Never been real successful with the leads part of things, but definitely one of the better converting programs for sales. -Megan
well for me something is definitely up. seven days now and $0 commission each day! that is a first in over twelve months of stong earnings epc is down by more than 50%. if anything, even more clicks and consistent traffic from my end, like someones turned off a switch.
Have you contacted EPN to see if there is an issue? I haven't seen any problems the last few days myself. A couple of lower than normal days, but that was around the financial crisis time period.
Interesting to think that the average consumer is going, "Oo, financial crisis, don't think I'll Google for that iPod today", but my line is also pretty flat for recent weeks... coachtraffic - let's say EPN are not that responsive to queries about tracking problems... Damn' their hides! EPN is still a very tempting program despite all the problems - there is potential for big money there, I think that's why most of us still can't give up the eBay drug...
