hello friends.. I just got a spam mail in my inbox.. check this screenshot I tried to download file in every way but hotmail didnt allowed me to download.. the surprising factor is that I didnt requested to change my password.. also the mail address to whom mail was sent by facebook is not mine.. hehe.. WTF
It looks like one of those fake phising email designed to get people to install a trojan or some other virus.
You are right. Many of my friends had got the same kind of mails, even some of their PCs are attacked by virus. Even, there are messages in facebook inbox too, those are too virus. You will be getting messages with links from your friend's account. But that is virus, you have to be alert on that too.
It's just a spoofed email address. Did you know that is possible to send an email that appears to be from ng?
It's one of the first fishing emails that isn't a grammatical joke. Most of the fishing emails I have seen have spelling errors, incorrect apostrophes or just don't make sense. I applaud this hacker, maybe the zipped file is a giveaway. Why would face book send you a zipped file, this is no more secure than putting it directly in the email text (it's very easy to programmatically unzip) So, yup it's a fish.. I nice fish, but it still smells of stinky Fish
wow. u said a line of hundreds thousands..so do you believe that I created myself?? and if facebook have not created this email then who did this.. any hacker?? which means that facebook even can not secure its mails??? hehe. but the realy fact is that facebook is also involved in selling the privacy of people to CIA...
The safest thing to do whether it is Facebook or Myspace or some other social media sites is not to open any message with a link. You can never tell if the link in an email is safe or not or the sort of link that will redirect you to sites full of nasties, even if the message comes from someone you know. Their own computers might be infected with worms and viruses without them knowing it. Just like what Jacobkell did, if you get an email with a link, delete it..well unless you are really sure it is from a really trusted source.
its starting to came when facebook became extremely popular. but never got the same with old friendster though it was popular too those days.
