I have a client wanting damage control. A manager at one of their nationwide stores, ie "jim brown" brings up bad pr in the serps. They want it removed or moved down the page. The first result: is ripoffereport.com: home page pr 6 second result: my3cents.com : home page pr 5 third result looks like an attempt to get rid of 1 and 2 and is a press release from findarticles.com : home page pr7 any recommendations to: a ) get rid of the bad PR b) move it to down to the bottom of the page or next page would be GREATLY appreciated the rip off report goes back two years, and seems to be the oldest entry on "jim brown"....thanks!
The only way to do that is to get your sites to fill up the first page... (unless you're a hacker...) Good luck!
If there are existing webpages that are more "friendly", I would begin pointing some links towards those pages and try to overtake the "unfriendly" pages in the rankings. If there arent any existing pages than you will need to create some new ones and get them ranking higher than the bad ones.
Yes, you need 10 pages on whatever site that show John Brown in a positive light. At least one of those should be on your own site. If there are no such pages, make a few on your own site, and a few on different subdomains on your own site. Each subdomain can get two listings in the top 10 (just like the main domain can) so in all you would need 4 subdomains plus the main site. Create one article just on John Brown and his credentials One article on why the bad PR is not true One article on various of his accomplishments (assuming he has those). Etc.
