Before you click on any link, hover over it to see where it takes you to. From time to time I get fake emails supposedly from my bank and, of course, they are not. Do due diligence before clicking on suspicious links or signing up/logging in under weird domain names.

It's good when people are careful. I only click on links on sites that I have built a trusting relationship with. The task of the site owners is to build these relationships. This may mean removing unnecessary flashy ads, calling for donations, creating a community that communicates with each other (providing them with the technical ability to do this). When the site is filled with live communication, trust in it automatically increases, which means that your links begin to go.
