DA, php5 AND dedicated servers

    Hello

    going to order Dedicated server .

    need php5 , preferred control panel DA.

    unfortunately i was told by one hoster, that they don't install php5 on DA, as they don't work properly.

    and give me link to http://www.directadmin.com/install.html

    is it true ? regarding directadmin' forum some threads they work perfectly, but as i don't have experience, i don't know what to do ?

    any advice will be appreciated

    and one thing else, which OS do u suggest to use? Centos? fedora or Debian ?

    The reason DirectAdmin does not use PHP 5.x out of the box is its customapache module does not work with PHP 5.x out of the box. But, people do upgrade to PHP 5.x without hurting DA or customapache.

    I have not bothered upgrading the version of PHP on my server which uses DirectAdmin so I do no have direct experience with this issue.
