DA depends on social shares??

    Is the domain authority and page authority of any site depends on its social shares(such facebook, twitter & google plus)??

    I don't like MOZ at all not to speak about their DA and PA.

    However, in my 6 years experience in SEO (gambling/forex/binary options) I had my fair share of time to work with MOZ (I was forced to, what can I say?) and I've learned
    that the DA depends only on the amount of backlinks that pointing towards the domain itself.

    Trust me on this one.

    All the other MOZ fanboys out there can go and promote 'wedding sites near Arizona' and continue wasting their time. I am coming from the most competitive SEO niche and MOZ is not a serious factor for hardcore SEOs like us.

    DA doesn't counts social shares. It is purely based on links pointing towards your website.

    I think social shares not help to increase domain authority or page authority.
    Traffic and back links increase domain authority and page authority.

    I think its true. DA depends upon quality links, links from from authority sites, good social profiles etc. We know about "link bait" seo technique and If we will share link baiting contents on social sites like fb, twitter etc. Many people will follow and share our content. There would be many links to our site or post. More links means better domain authority.

    Yes Social profiles and shares on them also helps in building trust and authority. As we know DA can be build only through link profile and domain age. So links form such high authority sites helps to improve your website authority and trust that you are a genuine business and service provider.But this is just a plus to your link profile (links from authority sites)

    Social share isn't the only factor to determine the DA of a site. Backlinks, domain age, etc also plays role in it.
