"Cyber Monday" and Adsense

Well yesterday was cyber monday which is supposed to yield the best online sales of the year. I'm not an online retailer, however yesterday was my best adsense day ever.

Anyone have the same experience?

 

Not best day ever, but best day this month. What I did notice is that ads were giving me 3 times more per click than a few days ago

Yep Fryman, my first few clicks for the day were well over average (by about 200%), maybe it was a little adsense bonus. Heh - who knows.

Yes, best day this month. Mind you, had a 20% increase in visitors as well.

 

Same here, adsense was WAY up yesturday and it was my birthday

what the hell is cyber monday?

 

I had my worst day in months, so maybe that's becuase I don't do retail but entertainment - everyone was too busy shopping to visit my fun sites.

 

I believe "Cyber Monday" is the internet equivalent of Black Friday in brick and mortar retail stores.

 

I actually went down about 200% in AS revenue yesterday. Ouch.

 

Although many of my sites with AdSense are shopping related, I didn't notice any increase from my average. Google is probably keeping the difference so they can claim high Q4 earnings and jack up their stock prices more.

 

Retailers know that people will be buying so they risk more on advertising often resulting in higher payouts per click.

my revenue sucked, but Mondays always suck for me. I am not selling anything on my site, and the ads that show on my site generally aren't the type of ads that would generate interest for people looking to buy Christmas Gifts.
