Cutting out part of cb landing page on your site?

Question 1) I would like to know if anyone out there knows whether or not it is a problem/alright to take a portion of the content, and selected videos/images out of the original seller's landing page and recreate your own dumbed down, simplified, modified, or summarized ad/landing page on your own site in order to promote the product of the seller?

Question 2) Does anyone know if many others have done this before?

Any thoughts on using tools to bypass the landing page altogether of the seller? Not saying this would be done all the time, but I could bypass it in some cases with my own customized landing page, and in other cases have my customized "ad" just point to the original landing page.

    Questions 3) Thoughts? Comments?

The only thing I take is the testimonials since the FTC is cracking down on those. Affiliates usually dont get there own since we are just a middle man so I take them from the vendor.

I would ask the vendor if it is ok before you do it but I am sure 90% of affiliates do this. I do get most of my copy from the site....I just reword it as to copy the full content.

I agree, the best way is always to ask the vendor, he can give you even additional comments and help which can lead to better landing page. Plus most of the vendors have additional materials, some even additional landing pages that you can download and use.

This is done a LOT, but most vendors would be happy enough with it - but yes, always better to ask.

Also yes you can bypass the salespage for most vendors if you really want to, but again, ask the vendor if this is ok, and how to do it :)
