Whats the best way to cut down on eating meat without going hungry all the time. Fish is ok. Damn, eating all that green stuff get me hungry again in only two hours.

I cut down on the meat a lot, but I don't feel any hungrier. The problem is that I feel really weak when I don't eat a lot of meat. :(

What about eggs as a source of protein? If I eat an egg in morning it keeps me from getting the munchies before noon. Also peas and beans are incomplete proteins. If peas and beans are eaten with corn as in cornbread the combination of the two incomplete proteins balance each other out and form protein source containing all the essential amino acids. See "Diet for a Small Planet"

Baked eggs are great. Place 1 t margarine, 1 crushed cracker, 1/4 t mustard, 1 T milk, 1 egg, 1 T cream, 2 T cheese, strip pimento in custard cup. Bake at 375º 15-20 minutes or until set. Think I will make these for Easter breakfast.

Want protein? Drink soy milk and eat tofu. Soy is the one bean that has all BCAA. I lift weight almost everyday and i don't feel weaker after quitting meat.

Also, don't "think" about cutting down meat. Just eat veggie. The more you think about meat, the more you want to eat meat.

There are also meat replacement that is made with protein from bean.

I would suggest you eat peanut butter sandwhiches- they are filling. Fruits such as bananas or apples are also very filling.

Really, anything with density will fill you up. Meat works great, of course. Things like salad are made up of a lot of water, so they don't fill you up as well.

Cereal, pop tarts, breads, and other 'heavy' items will do you good.

Hey try carbs... like cereal, etc. They are low in fat and keep you fuller longer.. veggies and fruits make you go hungry really quickly lol

no Cereal, no pop tarts, no breads. Those have tons of fast digesting Carbs. Instead , go whole grain and eat oatmeal (The plain one, not the one with flavor) . also, drink a lot of water. Fiber expand after it soak up the water

peanut butter has good fat. Don't buy the one from supermarket because they have tons of sugar.

for normal people, 1g of protein per pound of body weight is enough. Almost all fat in egg is inside the yolk, so you should eat egg white only if you want protein. I use liquid egg white.

Do you have a Trader Joe or whole food near you?

    Thanks ahkip.
I heard about that bread carb stuff. We can buy some very expensive bread here in Norway that is supposed to not be fattening. I will try that one.
So peanuts have good fat ? good news , I love peanuts :)
So how many eggs a day would cover my protein needs ?
