Customize Permalink Structure - problem

when you made a new blog you have default common option: like this domain.com?p=123
I try to change in Date and name based :/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/
but when i check my post have 404 error
i think i need a .httaccces

can anyone set me one ?

 

- Check .htaccess file exists or not in your web root
- .htaccess file must be writable

 

make sure you have .htaccess in your root folder. make it writeable by CHMOD it to 666. then set the permalinks as you like.

Has the requisite code been entered into your htaccess, either manually or by wordpress itself ?

 

create a .htaccess in your blog folder and paste the code there.

 

may i see which website that you want to set the permalink?
