Customers are Weird.

Some customers are just strange. I would never say a customer is "bad" or "annoying"... I appreciate any and all customers. But some are just strange. I'll post a few examples. Maybe you have more to add.

Writes me a glowing testimonial. Says my eBook was a wonderful investment. She couldn't have gotten her current job without the advice in my book. An hour after I received the testimonial, I receive a refund notice from Clickbank with her name on it.

She e-mails me to tell me she just purchased my ebook... and it never arrived in her e-mail. (She should have downloaded it by clicking the link on the thank you page.) After sending her the book via email, she was thrilled. *shrug*

Purchased my eBook. Then e-mails me, telling me she thought she was purchasing a different product in a completely unrelated niche. (How do you make that mistake? You go to the sales page and click 'buy now'. Does someone else's sales page have a link to pay for my product? I don't think so.)

So, I send Clickbank a refund request. She emails me back saying she didn't want a refund. She LIKED my product.

Ummmm.... yeah. I guess she gets a free ebook for confusing me.

Anyone else have strange customer stories to share? :)

    Haha great thread.

I just recently had one who bought my product and was really happy with it. However in the same email he starts asking me the most basic questions that are already answered in the ebook....
I'd be prepared to bet he didn't even open the freakin pdf.

lmao at the last one, Fireboat. hilarious :)

i had one a few month ago. she bought the ebook. then she emails me a couple of days later and says she used her mom's credit card to buy it and her mom wasn't happy about it. asks if she could make a refund and use her own credit card to pay for it again and keep the ebook in the meantime. i agreed, so she buys it again and she has never made the refund for the first purchase since then :)

    ps. good thread. anyone else?

LOL, Yeah it's true... And customers are even STRANGER when it comes to web design... I get customers who go "WOW YOUR STUFF IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!11one" who get crappy designs, and others that I make really good ones for that go "Err not good, nvm I'll buy elsewhere". It's just the way people are, especially us Americans *cough*.

hahhahha These customer sure are weird. Especially the one which got refund and then said that she wanted the book. Did she pay for the book again since she got the refund or just ran away with the freebie

LOL HarryLee, some people are just flat out ridiculous. "I want to loose weight not money", for god sake what was it $20? Get over it!

There are some really good reads here. I agree, customers can be very unique and at times they just have you nodding your head from side to side. Intangible customers are so different than tangible clients. Even though money and time are involved, sometimes their behaviour makes for good laughs - stress reliever if you know what I mean.

here's a good stress reliever i got yesterday. the guy bought the ebook and i noticed hes been visiting my page every single day since then. i thought he was looking for a refund button or something, then i got this email:
lol instead of spending 3 minutes to register the guy has been spending all this time checking my page daily to see if he can leave a comment. i sent him a free gift for his efforts :)
