I have a question for all you marketers out there, and affiliate programs users. How much do you think gifts to customers and targets can help an ad campaign ? I'm thinking about selling electronic gift packages for ad campaigns. Those would mostly include premium memberships ID's for a certain number of services. Imagine including a free code to Rapidshare, or Megaupload or Uploading.com in your email, as a gift ? I'm wondering if that kind of stuff could interest marketers. It would be really really low proces compared to their real value, and there would be the possibility to buy a LOT of them.
People love free stuff. Just make sure that if you are giving something away to them, that it is actually relevant to the product you are selling. Like if you are targeting women and selling makeup, don't give them a Rapidshare account b/c they would probably not have a use for it nor know what it even is. Also, if you are using gifts and promoting a product through affiliate marketing, make sure that the offer allows incentives or you will risk losing all of your commissions as well.
So one could say that I could find people interested in buying packages of 1000+ ID's like that if their targets were men in their 20's/30's who use internet a lot etc ? It could also be used to target anyone who has a website and wants to host heavy files. I didn't understand what you were saying about affiliates though.
I'm also wonderintg what kinf of money marketers would be ready to invest in such services. I'm wondering what kind of prices could interest them. Take 1 year memberships @ uploading.com are about $50. If I was to sell them at $3 each, it would be something that people would look into ?
It does help, obviously, but it's not really known for certain how much it helps. As an old marketer myself, the way I look at it is if it doesn't hurt, or cost you anything, or not that much of anything, go ahead and do it. Cover all your bases.
