Custom URL on Google Plus

If you have set your company or personal G+ badge in your business website then google will send you custom G+ URL for it. Today, I got email from google and it's a nice annountcement.

 

Yah we got one for Value Telcom google.com/+Valuetelcom yesterday as well

 

I had a message today on my Google+ bar "You are pre-approved for a custom URL" then it gave an example of a very poorly formatted URL which thanfully you can change as long as it is not profane or already in use and within certain character length tolerances.

However WARNING! Along side this is a message saying "It is free for now, but we may charge in the future"

Shaking your hand with one hand - looking to pick your pocket with another.
I wonder whether those that opt in now will always be free, or whether their will be a subscription charge for everyone if it becomes a paid system in the future?

i also got my profile custom URL three days ago. i receive email from google "you are now able to claim your Custom google+ URL"
and i activated yahooooooooo...
