Buying Custom Updates to my Wordpress site

I need the following changes to my wordpress website - http://idahooutdoorphotography.com/

on the front page, i want to show the categories as thumbnail images - NOT the text link like they are now (those text links can stay in the footer). And i want the ability to change the category thumbnail image at any time (easily).

I want the slider removed and replaced with these category images. Also the category name should appear below the image. These will all be 3 or 4 columns (should be easy to change in case i want to change this) and there will be a black background behind the content area for these categories.

When you click on a category, is should display a grid (again 3 or 4 columns) of images from that category. They currently show up in the slider which i want removed.

The detail page can stay the same.
