    Lemme explain the situation here
I have this domain abc.com hosted at this server 1.2.3.4 with ns ip's 1.1.1.1 and 2.2.2.2

i do not use the dns services of GOdaddy here. i use my own whm server for creating my subdomains and such..

    now i want to create nameservers like ns1.abc.com >> 1.1.1.1 and ns2.abc.com >> 2.2.2.2

i have created them using the host feature from the control panel. but the links do nt propagate.

Namecheap custom name servers work no matter we host DNS with them or not.

now my question is.. do i have to host my DNS with GOdaddy for their custom name servers to work?? any inputs will be great.

Create the nameservers with their respective IP addresses at your registrar
and change your domain's DNS to them. Give it 24 hours to propagate on the
    average.

its so sad that i didn't get this working thru godaddy nor got an solution from DP. anyway its safe to conclude that

When you use custom nameservers, the host feature of godaddy control panel to register your own nameservers for that domain doesnt propagate.
at the same time even when you use custom nameservers, the nameservers you create from namecheap does propagate.. may be this is of some use to anyone who need this..
