Hello, I'm currently using custom nameservers for my domain name at azonic ( WILD WEST DOMAINS). Example: My domain is domain.com and i have ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com as my nameservers At my old registrar (azonic, which i think it's a reseller from WILD WEST DOMAINS), i have in the control panel a thing called "hosts". I just added there those 2 hosts (ns1 and ns2 and pointed to my 2 IP addresses). How can i do the same at ESTDOMAINS? Is it at "A RECORDS" ? I created NS1.domain.com and pointed to my first IP And then created NS2.domain.com and pointed to my other IP I was just thinking if it was somewhere else rather then "A RECORDS". Thank you for your help in advance! PS: sorry, i'm a newbie at this
Not 100% sure about this but I belive they use similar system as ours "DirectDot.com". There should be an option for "child name server" under your domains control panel. hope this helps.
It depends where your site is hosted at. If it is at an external provider you will most likely have to make the changes there.
the site is hosted at an external provider, and everything is set there. the only thing i think it's needed is to create the hosts at the current registrar, like i did at wild west...
What actually happened? Your site can't resolved when you create ns1 and ns2? OR you didn't create it yet but want to know how? Does the faq link did much help and everything is fine now? I'm just confused myself...too much to read Have you solved it yet? I guess it is very easy to do it...infact the easiest of them all...Do you purchased extra service to create your dns such as dns service and others?
