300 Contest for Logo Our company provides academic guidance and college admissions counseling to ambitious high school students. Contest Rules: - Because our name is not yet trademarked, please use the phrase "Prepare Learn" as the sample company name. We will ask the contest winner to change the name for the final product. - We are open to all artistic concepts (e.g., abstract, modern, traditional, as well as any types of fonts). - For the logo, feel free to use any imagery (e.g., inanimate objects, animals, plants, etc.) - We will pick 3 finalists and likely ask for 1 or 2 additional rounds of revisions before will select a winner. - The 1st round of the contest ends on Friday, November 20th, at 12am PST. - Payment will be made via Paypal. - The finished product should be in high quality, so it doesn't lose resolution when resizing. - We reserve the right to not pick a winner. In this situation, however, we will re-post the contest with specific design requirements, and you may resubmit an entry under the new guidelines. - We reserve the right to extend the contest if there are too few entries.
You should trademark the name first and then start the contest, otherwise it seems clear that there´s neither a winner nor a good design. You can´t simply change the Apple logo for Windows, or McDonald´s for Burger King.
What are you talking about? The CH is simply saying you make a logo with random text and we'll swap it out later for what we want. Your statement makes no sense!
So what? There are plenty CH's with no rep. They post in the first place so they can use the Contest forum, many of them. As long as there is no negative rep, he is fine. Plus, he can't steal any since he is not give the real domain name.
(Theoretically speaking), the opposite is the case. How should anyone ever find out if he uses a graphic from here if nobody knows where to look for? Which is another good reason for announcing the actual name of the company.
Hi everyone, I see there are a lot of concerns over this contest. A friend recommended this site to find talent. Obviously i'm extremely inexperienced when it comes to the terminology and what is the "right" thing to say. I wanted to trademark the name along w/ the logo (hence the sample company name). I don't know what else to say we WILL pay when we pick a winner. I have no idea what an itrader rep is.... i just browsed this forum and saw some great things. I'm excited to see your entries, sorry if I worded the contest incorrectly for some of you.
Interesting, a contest with a reasonable price, im in. Will wait to the 19th though as long contests seem to get ignored and attract plagiarism. See you soon.
Hi Fujimoto, I am resisting putting up feedback because i want the creative canvas to be completely open. We are hoping to see something that we haven't thought of so we are trying to avoid guiding the thought process. At the same rate, we like some of the stuff we have seen... The execution isn't everything, the idea is important as well. Hope that's okay with everyone!
The issue is that the design process needs give and take. If you like an idea, but it's not perfect, the designer needs to know so they can change things to try to meet your wishes, but with no guidance whatsoever we can keep creating designs anew with no knowledge if it's close or a million miles away from what you want.
