Does somebody know about how to create custom adsense ads?

Custom means if you can change the color, font, size and the count of the ads etc.

    Someone told me that

    1. Google gives high-volume websites special tools/leeway for creating more customized looks. These are tools not available to most publishers.
    2. There are other CSS/DIV tricks you can do to customize your ad that goes beyond just changing font colors and sizes.
Are any of these rumors true?

Just log into your adsense account and go to the adsense setup tab, and you are able to "customize" the ads overthere

Thanks all for your replies and I recently come to know by some researching that what I was looking for is knows as Google premium ads, and to get these you need at least 20 million page views a months.

If you dont care a bout building readership, be blatant with your ads and put them up front in the "hot spot". I like using large rectangle text ads.

It sucks that you have to have more visitors than the populations of certain countries just to be able to make your ads look good so they can convert better. Current AdSense formats all look like they were designed in the 90s and will have a negative psychological impact on your visitors.

In addition to customization, AdSense Premium also comes with private consultation. As of March 4 2013, however, Google opened up private consultation to anyone earning more than $25 a week (check the Inside AdSense blog).

Hence, I urge all of you to contact Google and ask them to also open up customization to anyone earning more than $25 a week (or better, to anyone regardless of income). I think if we all do it, Google will eventually listen.

    Thanks!
