I've written a simple context-ads system for my blog which works a bit like Kontera ContentLinks or Amazon's Context-Links. It gives you control over the ads it places, since you put spans around them, eg: "Today I bought an <span class="shop">Xbox 360</span>!" It uses Javascript to pick these items up and hyperlinks them. Then there's a server-side script that reads config from an XML file that lets you specify a load of Affiliate URLs with templates to replace product numbers into. It supports multiple regions so you can send visitors to US/UK too. It's running on my blog now (check out some posts here: http://blog.dantup.me.uk/search/label/Xbox%20360). The links my system added are those with tooltips that say "Buy x from Amazon". There's a full writeup of the system, along with a download link here: http://blog.dantup.me.uk/2007/08/ad-system-source-code-available-to.html I hope it might be of use to someone - whether to use or to learn from and steal
